FREE EXAMPLE FORMS

With the prevalence of technology, it is increasingly important for parents to ensure that their children know how to use the internet and technology safely. To do this, parents can utilise forms to keep track of their children’s internet activity.

Creating and filling out a form that keeps track of your children’s computer and internet usage can give parents more insight into what their child is doing while they are online. These forms can consist of a series of questions that asks your child to list what sites they have visited, any rules they have followed, and any interaction they have had with other users. Additionally, these forms can be customised to fit the level of your children’s maturity, such as asking a younger child to only visit educational websites, or for an older child to explicitly list any online gaming sites they visit.

Another benefit of using forms to keep track of children’s internet usage is that it can provide a platform for parents to give and receive feedback, which can help foster open communication and understanding between them. For example, when sending the form to a child, the parent can set expectations for their online usage, such as setting a certain amount of time a day that the child is allowed to be online, or specifying educational websites your child should visit. Additionally, when receiving the form back, parents have the ability to have meaningful conversations with their child about what sites they visited and help to guide their child towards even better choices.

In conclusion, using forms to keep track of children’s internet and computer use is an effective way for parents to ensure that their child is using these areas safely and responsibly. Developing and filling out forms with an age-appropriate series of questions can give parents greater insight into their children’s whereabouts and activities while they are online, while also providing an opportunity for open communication and understanding between parents and children.
