Welcome to Week 10 of the Creative Writing Course – Writing with Style and Tone.


In this session, we focus on how to bring your writing to life through word choice, rhythm, sentence variation, and tone. This is where your writing begins to develop its own unique voice.


You’ll learn:

  • How word choice can completely change meaning and mood

  • How to use rhythm and sentence length to control pacing

  • Why sentence variation keeps writing engaging

  • How to start developing your personal writing style


We also explore different tones such as:

  • Humorous

  • Suspenseful

  • Dark

  • Romantic

  • Reflective

  • Playful


Plus, you’ll complete a simple exercise to practise writing the same sentence in different tones.
