In Week 6 of our Creative Writing course, we focus on the craft of building powerful, purposeful scenes. We explore how strong scenes are driven by desire, resistance, and emotional shifts, and how balancing action, description, and reflection creates momentum on the page.
Students will learn how to avoid rushed or stalled moments, manage tension and pacing, and ensure that every scene moves the story forward.
By strengthening individual scenes, writers begin to see their entire narrative gain depth, clarity, and emotional impact.
