In Week 8 of my Creative Writing Course, we explore one of the most important tools a writer has: point of view and narrative voice.

Understanding perspective changes the entire way a reader experiences a story. In this lesson we look at the differences between first person, second person and third person narration, and how each choice shapes emotion, tension and information.

This session also explores voice – the unique tone and personality that makes a piece of writing feel distinctive and memorable.

Perfect for:

  • Beginner writers

  • Creative writing students

  • Anyone learning storytelling techniques

  • Writers wanting stronger narrative control

By the end of the lesson you'll understand:• First, second and third person perspective• How point of view shapes reader experience• What narrative voice is and how to develop it• How perspective choices affect storytelling
