My Books & Creative Writing Courses

Writing has been part of my life for many years - not just as a creative outlet - but as a way to explore stories, emotions, and the world around us.

I published my first non-fiction book in 2015, which was updated over the decade and re-released most recently in 2025. I went on to publish additional works of fiction in 2024 and have three more titles due for release in 2026. Alongside writing, I’ve developed a strong passion for helping others find their own voice, confidence, and enjoyment through creative writing.

From 14th January 2026, I will be teaching a Creative Writing course at Inchgarth Community Centre, supporting people in a friendly, relaxed environment to explore storytelling at their own pace.

What Writing means to Me

Writing, for me, has never been about being perfect or rigidly following rules. It’s about allowing ideas the space to form, trusting your instincts, and letting your voice emerge naturally on the page.

My first book was non-fiction, which meant working within clear structures and guidelines. That experience taught me discipline, clarity, and the importance of shaping ideas carefully.

Later, writing fiction gave me a different kind of freedom - the chance to explore imagination, emotion, and storytelling without the same boundaries.

Writing has allowed me to explore ideas quietly and honestly over time, building confidence in expressing thoughts, feelings, and stories - even when they began as rough or uncertain. The process itself has often mattered just as much as the finished work.

Alongside creativity, I value practical writing techniques that support the process rather than restrict it. These are tools I return to again and again, helping ideas grow into stories while leaving room for them to evolve.

The books I’ve written reflect that journey - from structure to freedom, from rules to imagination.

Whether you’re new to writing or returning to it after time away, I believe writing can be both empowering and genuinely enjoyable.
